Why People Reach Out
You are not broken. You have been managing a lot, and it has been working until it is not.
You still answer the emails, make the decisions, show up for work, and keep things moving at home. But you replay conversations at night, walk into work already pissed off, snap at people you love, and then ask yourself what is wrong with you. You may have even tried to think your way through it and believe you can do this on your own.
The loop is pretty clear. Push through. React. Regret it. Tell yourself you will handle it better next time. Then do it again.
At Bracken Path Therapy, we look at what happens right before you react, shut down, over-explain, or pull back, so you can stop getting pulled into the same pattern.

About Bracken Path Therapy
You may already know what is going on. You may know you are burnt out, reacting faster than you want to, bringing work home with you, or letting conflict take more from you than you want to admit. You already know this, but insight does not change much if the same thing happens the next time someone sends a message, asks for one more thing, or pushes the same button.
This is where we start to look at the pattern in real life. What did you hear versus what was actually said? What role do you want to play in this situation? Where did the boundary get soft? Where did you say yes and resent it later?
I’m Nancy LeBlanc, BSW, MSW, RSW, and I have 27 years of experience, including 21 years in high-stress, high-crisis frontline work. My approach is direct, practical, and solution-focused. I listen, ask questions, challenge thinking and behaviour when needed, and keep the work focused on what is actually happening in your life.
FAQs About Bracken Path Therapy
-
Bracken Path Therapy may be a good fit if you want therapy that is direct, practical, and honest. Many clients who work well with me are high-functioning professionals who are stressed, burnt out, in conflict, or going through a major transition. I am probably not the right fit if you want to vent without reflection, stay comfortable, or blame everyone else without looking at your own role.
-
I am not a nod-and-listen therapist. I listen, but I also ask questions, challenge words or patterns when they need to be challenged, and help you look at what is actually happening. You may already know how you feel. This work is about what you are going to do with all of this.
-
I often work with professionals, helpers, and people in high-stress roles, including nurses, doctors, lawyers, engineers, first responders, social workers, therapists, managers, and business owners. I also work with people navigating separation, divorce, co-parenting stress, private adoption, burnout, workplace conflict, and life transitions. A lot of my clients are used to being the capable one, until they cannot keep doing it the same way.

Yes. I offer in-person therapy in Mid-Town Toronto and virtual therapy across Ontario and Prince Edward Island. Sessions are available in 50-minute and 75-minute formats. The first step is a free 15-minute consultation to see if we think we are a fit for each other.
-
Sessions with me are active conversations. I listen, ask questions, and may pause you to say, “I want to go back to something you said,” or “I’d like to challenge that word.” I do not tell you what to do. The work is about helping you think clearly, reflect honestly, and make decisions you can stand behind.
If You Already Know Something Has To Change
If you are tired of thinking about it, talking yourself out of it, and ending up in the same loop, start with a free 15-minute consultation at Bracken Path Therapy and see if we think we are a fit.
You do not have to tackle all of these feelings, worries, and concerns by yourself.
